Hey y'all,
It's been a great week! Last p-day we went to a Crime and Punishment museum and Last Meal cafe in Asburn, GA. It was interesting. It had a lot of history in it. We got to take pictures in the electric chair and in a cell. We had a tour of the place from one of the locals. He knew a lot of the sheriff's that used to live there. He had a some cool stories to tell. It also had some pictures of some people's last meals. One had Domino's pizza, which is soo good and another had KFC.
So you know the stories with missionary's getting chased by dogs well it almost happened. I know right!? I don't know why I'm excited... whatever. So we were walking back from an appt and decided to try and see a potential. We walked half way to the door and saw a big black thing on the steps, that's weird. Then we didn't see the big dog barking behind the fence... that's the dog. We stopped just as the dog saw us. So we turned to leave and he jumped up and started running at us. So I thought I don't have to run faster then the dog just my companion. J/K! We stopped and turned to face him. In the end he licked our hands and we parted as friends... I think.....still not sure on that. So it all worked out, but for those few seconds it was intense.
Another night we were walking back and we really wanted some strawberry lemonade. So felt like we should walk a different way then normal and walked past a gas station. They had Strawberry Lemonade! The next day a member bought us strawberry lemonade too, Blessing!
We taught the lesson in Relief society, it was on temples. It went really well. Everyone was involved in the lesson and making comments. I just love the temple so much and all the blessing we receive from going. I can't wait to be able to go again.
One of the families that we're teaching is Jenifer and her husband David. They live out in the country in Bridgeborrow. They have all the animals, well they have a baby goat now. It's the cutest thing ever! I was able to bottle feed it. It was so adorable. They named her Magnolia, Maggy for short though. David has kept up with his Book of Mormon reading. He is now in ch 16 of 1 Nephi and really enjoying it. He marks it and writes notes/questions. I am so grateful I have the chance to meet them and be a part of their progress. It's been such a blessing. Thanks for all ya'lls love and support.
