Hey y'all
It's been another great week! So much happened. So Thursday we went to go see one of our investigators to drop of a large print bible so we parked in the drive way. She wasn't home, so we went to leave and the car wouldn't shift into reverse. We tried a few things nothing happened. It just kept rolling closer the house. Then we called the elders they didn't answer... so we tried Elder Cole he is over vehicles in the mission no answer. So we called a member in the ward Sister Shepard her husband is a mechanic. She came and tried a few things then the car made a loud noise and went caput. So the elders came and we pushed the car to the side of the road. Elder Cole got a tow truck to meet us later. He was just surprised because it's a 2014 Chevy cruise!
Sister Shepard took all the missionaries to lunch. That was so nice of her. We met the tow truck after then went to the dealer. They weren't the nicest people ever. We left to do something, came back, nothing new, so we left to do missionary work and realized my comp gave them our apt key so we went back a 3rd time and they were not happy. It's official I don't like chevy's very much.
So on the coldest day of winter so far we walked to the hospital to visit Bro Ware in the hospice. It was great because we had a potential investigator we've been trying to see stop and talk to us so we could get their number and set up a time to teach them. We found out that the transmission went out in our car and they won't be able to look at it until Tuesday. Saturday the zone leaders called and told us we're getting the phoenix city elders car until our's get's fixed. It's a 2015 Toyota Corolla! We went to see Bro Ware again on Saturday and he passed away 45 min before we got there.
I'm so grateful for this gospel and for the plan of salvation. He is now at peace not struggling and tired anymore. He was a great man, who loved the gospel so much!
Sunday we were able to have a baptism for Elisha Mata, he is 9 years old and so excited to be baptized. I loved being able to teach and get to know him and his great family. He learns so fast and such a great testimony! I love seeing the gospel change peoples life's have the light of Christ come into their life! I love being a missionary!
Thanks for all your love and support!
Macon Miracles,
Sister Wheelwright
