Hey Y'all,
It's been another great week. It went by really fast! So we had a mission tour with Elder Kopishke from the seventy. It was amazing. I learned so much. He asked that when we invite people to come to church, we ask them to come with a specific question that they would want to be answered. He promised that if they will be prayerful about their question and have a sincere desire to know, that they would receive answers sometime during the three hour block of church! That will increase our church attendance, which he recognized as a big stumbling block of so many of our investigators. It was in Macon with 1/2 of the mission, I was able to see my trainer and old companions from the mtc and my last area Warner Robins, it was fantastic! We had some investigators come to church and now they're on date for baptism. It's going to be a great transfer!
I'm giving a training on talking with everyone tomorrow in district meeting. I have to prep my talk for sunday on blessing from listening to the holy ghost. I wrote a talk in the MTC about this so I can use some of that. Yes! The bugs are crazy here. I need good bug spray. I can't wait for fall! Make it a great week.

Hey y'all,
This week has been crazy! We had zone training up in Tifton. Lots of driving up there and back. I learned a lot though so it's okay. I also was able to play the piano for the opening song. I had my interview with president at the end of the meeting. That was awesome! I was able to be in the mission choir again for stake conference with Elder Oaks! We had practice for most of the day then we had a break and they were getting ready to start the priesthood leadership meeting and my companion and I were hoping to see Elder Oaks. So we waited in the hallway. And.....he was walking up and he shook a few peoples hands then he came to me and my companion and he shook our hands then he talked with us for a minute. It was so cool! It was great to be able to talk with him. Then we practiced singing again, we had evening session of conference then he stayed to be able to shake everyone's hands who wanted to. He is such a nice man, it reminded me of the savoir being surrounded by people. He was smiling the whole time.
Elder Oaks came to the Sunday Morning session at least 30 minutes early trying to get to shake the hands of as many as he could who were in attendance. It is my estimation that at least 2/3 of all of the people, and maybe more, who attended had that sacred honor. That was quite a task for a man who just recently turned 82! He even went though and was able to shake everyone's hand in our missionary choir. Elder Oaks taught many things during the general session on Sunday Morning. The principle taught was that revelation comes to us from TWO sources, and not just one. To demonstrate, he asked my mission president to come to the pulpit and asked that he bring one of our missionaries with him. We all kind of freaked out! Not knowing what he would be asked to say or do, on the spur of the moment, he asked Elder Stewart, one of our Tifton Zone Leaders, to come to the front with him. Elder Oaks simply used him to show that one avenue of revelation was what he called the Priesthood line of revelation. Direction from the Savior to his Prophet, to a member of the Quorum of the Twelve, is given to the Mission President who in turn gives that same counsel and revelation to his missionaries. He taught that this Priesthood channel was the same for every member through their Stake President, Bishop, Quorum President, RS President, and to the individual. The other source, he indicated, is the revelation that comes directly from Heaven through the Holy Ghost. He called it the personal channel of revelation. Then he taught this VERY "revealing" doctrine that unless one is "in line" with the revelation that comes in the Priesthood channel that we would not be ready, or worthy, to receive the revelation that would come from the personal channel. Obviously, the Holy Ghost can and does testify to truth and inspire people everywhere to do what is right, but that personal revelation would come to those who were first receiving revelation as it comes from the Priesthood channel.
We sang High on a mountain top and This is the Christ. It was amazing! Elder Oaks stayed after a few minutes. I talked with him again as he was coming up to get his bag before he left. We asked him how he is able to do all of it. He said I don't know... miracles. He is such an amazing spiritual giant, and such a funny guy. It was such an amazing experience to see and meet him. I feel so blessed to be serving here. Make it a great week!

hey y'all,
So I was transferred last Tuesday. It was hard to leave. I learned so much from all of them. Goodbye Warner Robins, Valdosta here I come! I went from the top of the mission to the bottom. Valdosta is next to the florida border. It's more humidity and knats... yeah! ... not! There are armadillos here too. It's crazy how different it is. I love my new area though. We have more palm trees. It's perfect timing though as it comes closer to fall and winter. I'll be warm.
So my new companion is Sister Griffin, she is from Texas. She goes home at the end of the transfer, so I'll get a new companion again. We share the apt with 1 other set of sisters. They serve in the singles branch. Sister Lusk and Maxfeild. I love them! We have a car share with the elders. They live in the same complex as us. They used to prank each other. We'll see how this goes. In the morning we can go to the gym or the park or play volley ball in our complex.
The ward has already asked me to speak in church in 3 weeks. That should be great! I met a friend from the singles ward, Emily Mellor.
This week is zone training. I'll be able to see my trainer sis Madsen. It is also Stake Conference. Guess who is coming!? Dallin H. Oaks! We might get to shake his hand. Plus another missionary choir with President directing it again. I'll see her again. And there is a 70 coming for a mission tour on the 20th, so next Wed. Lot's of driving, all those places are a 45 min to 2 1/2 hour drive. It's going to be a great transfer!
